Paweł Plich

For several years, he has been providing tax advisory services to large and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland. He specializes in servicing companies in the pharmaceutical, construction and IT sectors. He deals with the most important tax issues from the perspective of business  taxation (VAT, CIT, TP, WHT).
He creates effective tax procedures, assures comprehensive tax reviews and effectively conducts tax litigation. Among others, he has won the dispute in the field of VAT and CIT regarding the allegation of unconscious participation in VAT carousels frauds where the amount of exposure reached tens millions of zlotys. His knowledge of transfer pricing issues and specifics of tax inspection proceedings allowed him to successfully represent clients in cases related to determining transfer prices at an arm’s length.
Paweł started his professional career in 1997 as an internal adviser to Bank Pekao S.A (UniCredit group). In 2000–2003 he worked in tax departments of Andersen and EY where he performed tax reviews, tax due diligence  projects as well as ongoing tax consultancy. Since the end of 2003, he has been running own consulting practice, based on which the Plich & Partners partnership was founded in 2007.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, postgraduate studies on Transfer Pricing and Tax Management at the Warsaw School of Economics, postgraduate studies on Business Valuation at the Warsaw School of Economics, as well as postgraduate studies in Accounting at The High School of Banking, Finance and Management in Warsaw. He is also a graduate of the British Center for English and European Legal Studies organized by Cambridge University and the University of Warsaw.

Izabela Nowak-Grodowska has several years of experience in tax consulting. In 2001–2004 she worked at the EY Tax Department, where she mainly performed tax reviews and tax due diligence projects. In 2004–2006, she supported accounting departments dealing with tax calculation in Thomson and Accenture. Currently, as a Partner at Plich & Partners, she is responsible for projects related to the maintenance or verification of clients' accounting records and tax documentation. She supports foreign clients in registering their business in Poland, and also provides bookkeeping services and carries out tax settlements on their behalf. She works for clients from the telecommunications, IT, construction and processing sectors. She is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and Georg-August Universität Göttingen in Germany.

Michał Szlachciak

He specializes in tax controversy, representing clients in tax and enforcement proceedings as well as  in  proceedings before administrative courts including the Supreme Administrative Court.
He advises clients on VAT, CIT, PIT, tax on transactions in civil law as well as inheritance and donation tax.
He has been working for Plich&Partners since 2014. Previously, he was associated with the notary office and law firms based in Warsaw.
Michał is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and postgraduate studies in accounting organized by the High School of Finance and Management in Warsaw. Participant of numerous trainings on tax law as well as administrative and court procedures.
Since 2018, he is a legal adviser trainee at the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw (entry number: APL-WA-170130).

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She gained her professional expertise in law and tax advisory firms based in Warsaw, as well as by running her own professional practice. She has been cooperating with Plich&Partners since 2014.
As part of tax practice, she represents clients before tax authorities and in administrative court proceedings.  She advises businesseson matters related to their day-to-day operations (VAT, CIT, PIT, real estate tax). She specializes in taxation of immovable property and intangible assets used for business purposes.
Anna Drabarczyk vel Grabarczyk has many years of experience in providing legal services to corporate entities. Among others she conducted audits of the legal status of several hundred properties. Since the very beginning of her professional career, she has also been dealing with intellectual property rights.

She specializes in ongoing tax consultancy, implementation of tax procedures, specifically  in the field of value added tax, corporate income tax and personal income tax.
Prior to joining the Plich&Partners team, she worked in one of the largest state-owned companies, where she dealt with the development of internal regulations and tax procedures. She also cooperated with international tax advisory firms.
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and postgraduate studies in Taxes and Tax Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw as well as postgraduate studies in Accounting and Taxes at the Management Faculty, University of Warsaw. She also completed a course for an Independent Accountant at the Accountants Association in Poland.

and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CFT) procedures

She has over 13 years of experience in creating procedures and managing teams dedicated to dealing with risk assessment and compliance in the field of AML / CFT. She gained professional experience, among others in international financial institutions such as: ABN AMRO N.V, RBS PLC, NatWest Bank PLC on both analytical and managerial positions. She organised and managed the AML / CFT departments as part of the financial shared service centers where she implemented procedures aimed at minimizing the bank's reputation risk. She specializes in KYC (Know Your Customer) and CDD (Client Due Diligence) processes aimed at verifying the customer's identity, ownership structure, including the ultimate beneficiary owner (UBO) and periodical testing of its credibility, sources of financing, transaction profile and business connections.
At Plich&Partners, she uses her knowledge not only in the area of UBO identification, but also as part of procedures for determining beneficial owners of payments subject to withholding tax (WHT) in Poland. She is also involved in verifying contractors for the purpose of eliminating cooperation with entities creating tax carousels frauds.
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the Rzeszów University of Technology in the field of Finance and Investment Projects. In addition, she has participated in many management courses and trainings, including those conducted by the American organization ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) and the British ICA (International Compliance Association).
